With CES 2024 just around the corner, tech companies have started sharing teaser videos of the products they will unveil at the event. MSI, which has a strong position in the gaming PC space, shared a short teaser video of the company’s first handheld gaming console on its official X and Instagram account. Let’s take a closer look at the handheld gaming PC that will rival Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.

MSI posted a teaser video for its first portable gaming console on its X and Instagram account. The new Dragon-themed handheld gaming console will be unveiled at CES 2024. Some details about the device were seen in the short video. However, the comment from Intel under the post brought to mind that the handheld gaming computer may come with an Intel Meteor Lake processor.

Intel Gaming’s official X account responded to MSI’s teaser video. So far, most handheld gaming consoles have used AMD processors. But Intel’s response to MSI’s teaser video suggests that the new handheld will be powered by an Intel processor.

Meanwhile, Intel recently launched Core Ultra processors with powerful Meteor Lake graphics, basic ray tracing and the ability to play the latest games.

Meanwhile, the @wxnod account, which shares leaked images of hardware on X, also shared images of MSI’s new handheld gaming console. In both the video shared by MSI and the leaked image, it is seen that the company uses the Dragon theme. The handheld console also looks similar to the design of the Asus ROG Ally.

Presumably, MSI’s upcoming gaming console will run Windows 11, which Microsoft has recently tweaked to be more suitable for handhelds. However, since Windows 11 is still not fully optimized for handheld gaming consoles, MSI may also use custom software.
